Printmakers is an organization that educates the public concerning the techniques,
nature and functions of printmaking, and encourages and advances the art of printmaking.
Maryland Printmakers, Inc., is a charitable non-profit corporation.
he objective of the organization is to promote printmaking to the
general public and artists working in the media through sponsorship of the following: juried, non-juried and traveling exhibits, a slide
registry, a newsletter, charitable and educational lectures,
demonstrations and programs. Membership is open to any individual committed to the
promotion of printmaking. Maryland Printmakers currently has more than 250 members
internationally.
aryland Printmakers is a member of the American Print
Alliance, a non-profit consortium of printmakers' councils in the United States and
Canada. The Alliance publishes a journal of critical literature about the print arts and a
guide to printmaking workshops, curates exhibitions, provides information and is an
advocates for prints, paperworks and book arts.
