Maryland Printmakers Spring 2001 Membership Meeting 
Was held Saturday, April 28, from 1 - 4 pm, at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, downtown print studio. General meeting was held from 1 - 2 pm, with refreshments from 2-2:30.  Membres brought two of their most recent prints for peer review and discussion, from 2:30 to 3:45, with the guest curator/critic Jane Farmer.

Photo Lithography using Pronto Plates
Photo Lithography using pronto plates as the matrix.
A digital image is printed from a laser printer and then
printed as a lithograph using conventional lithographic printing
methods.  The following list of links will assist is you are looking

Calvin explains how an image can be rendered or
transferred to Pronto (or similar) plates to make the matrix.
How to process the plate.
Secure plate to press bed Sponging and roll-up
The plate can be secured, on the press bed, in the
usual ways (with water and/or tape) for printing.
Calvin sponges the plate and rolls it up in the
usual (litho) manor, and then pulls a print.
Pulling a print from Pronto Plate
