(Archived version from September, 1999 - click here for current)
Dear Members,

I hope you are having a productive summer. Plans are in full swing for the October 10th Anniversary Celebration. As you know October 16th we will have our opening reception for the members tenth anniversary exhibition at the Rockville Arts Place. I know everyone will have beautiful new work to show. I also am looking forward to seeing this year's new portfolio, “On a Scale of Ten.”  Thanks to Kay McCrohan for organizing this folio. Plans are in the works to tour this anniversary edition. Let's put the best foot forward! Special thanks to Ron Wray Executive Director of RAP and his staff for being so helpful with the planning of the upcoming fall event. Another special thanks to Linda Harrison-Parsons for all her hard work making arrangements for the anniversary celebration. Linda I appreciate all your support and direction. Great news. We have a new slate of Board Members who will begin active duty by October 1999. Bernie Shleien, VP and Public Relations; Ellen Hill, Exhibitions; Emily Kutler, Exhibitions and Shireen Holman, Newsletter Editor. These valiant talent are your new officers. I am very excited about these new board members and am encouraged by their energy, ideas and enthusiasm for the year ahead. If you have any ideas, information or guidance you would like to offer these new folks, please take a moment to contact them. Remember they are assuming responsibility to promote your work and the activities of the organization and each member has a responsibility to lend a hand.

Take care and I hope you had a productive and relaxing summer.

Sincerely,

Susan J. Goldman
