The annual fall meeting was held at the Howard County Center for the Arts Oct.
25, in conjunction with the closing of the exhibition held there. The meeting was well
attended and began with a wonderful brunch that seemed to continue throughout the day.
President Susan Goldman was introduced to the members by Richard Hellman. The meeting
began with a review of committee reports and issues that have come before the board of
directors. A vote was held to increase member dues to $35 per year to help defray the cost
of the newsletter. It was also decided to increase the size of the newsletter to eight
pages for one year, to accommodate more graphics and member news. After one year the
budget will be reassessed to see if the newsletter will remain eight pages in length.
Following a brief lunch break, during which members could view and pick up folios, Nannette Chapman
Blinchikoff presented her sales techniques as applied to the artist. She also had
available her two guides to promoting fine art in Maryland. |
