Maryland Printmakers

President's Letter

Dear Members,

I want to congratulate all of you on the outstanding Maryland Printmakers Tenth Anniversary Exhibition at the Rockville Arts Place. The show is absolutely top notch and all of you should be very proud. The evening reception and members meeting was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time. I want to thank all of the board members and volunteers who helped make this possible. A very special thanks goes out to Linda Harrison-Parsons for her truly brilliant ideas, organizing the raffle and gift certificates and taking the bull by the proverbial horns. Thanks also to Rick Hellman for all his guidance, sense of humor and printing those fantastic aprons, better get them quick, only a few remain! Special thanks to Mary and Matt Laur, Sue Anne Bottomley, Ellen Hill, Marcia Brown and Pat Shopbell, Bernie Shleien, Sarah Stout, Kay McCrohan, Ray Esposito (aka member at large). If I have omitted anyone, please forgive me.

I think we ended the 1990’s with quite a splash and good feelings and energies for the future. Many of you have expressed an interest to become more involved.  Please don’t hesitate. You can make it what you want. I will appreciate any help or ideas.

I am inspired by this very special occasion and hope we can keep the momentum going. Please give me a call and we can work together to make a very bright, exciting and interesting future.

Be sure to check out our website. Mary and Matt Laur have posted pictures from the anniversary celebration.

Thanks to all the retiring board members for their great work and welcome to the new!

Happy New Millennium Year!

Sincerely,
Susan J. Goldman
