FYI:

CULTURAL ALLIANCE MAKES ART MORE ACCESSIBLE

In a joint venture with the Kennedy Center, the Cultural Alliance has worked to reopen the Old Post Office Pavilion and relocated TICKET place, a center to purchase discount tickets to a large variety of performing arts events, to downtown Washington, D.C. at 12th and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Theatergoers can find tickets here for events in Washington, Maryland and Virginia. The new location should make discount tickets available to a greater part of the community as well as tourists.

Museum Bus-A second project of the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington, the Museum Bus, now in its second year shuttles visitors in Washington D.C. to twenty three of the city's major museums, including Union Station and the National Zoo. For visitors, it is an inexpensive and easy way to tour some of the finest museums in the nation's capitol. The bus runs five shuttles continuously from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week. Passes for the museum Bus are available at various museum shops, TICKETplace, Ticketmaster, and many area hotels. Passholders may re-board the shuttle unlimited times for the duration of the pass Passholders are also entitled to free admission to museums that charge and will receive a 10% discount from participation museum stores and restaurants. Members of the Cultural Alliance may ride the bus for free with their membership card, but this does not entitle one to museum admission or the 10% discounts.
