e-mail j.godfrey@erols.com Printhouse Art Gallery is announcing its opening and call for artists. Printhouse is designed with two purposes in mind. First, it is dedicated to the promotion of printmaking and printmakers. Second, all proceeds from Printhouse are donated to The Brass Ring Society and its programs for children with terminal and life threatening illnesses. The Print Studio at the Montpelier Cultural Arts Center in Laurel, Maryland has openings for resident artists working in printmaking or photography. Artists have access to a Dickerson combination press, a small reciprocating press, mat and glass cutters, flat files and storage for flammables. Artists have their own desks and limited storage. They pay a monthly rent and are required to spend a minimum number of hours working in the studio. They have the opportunity for individual shows in the resident artists’ gallery. The next juried competition for studio space is on Wed, May 17, 2000. In addition to the application form and $10 fee, deliver up to five examples of your work to the art center on Tuesday May 16, 2000 between 9 AM and 8 PM.
