President's Letter
(Archived material from June 2000 - click here for current articles)
Dear Members,

It has been my great pleasure and honor to have served as President of the Maryland Printmakers these past two years. I cannot believe how quickly these two years have gone by. Testament to what fun the experience has been. For many years I just paid my dues, received my newsletter and barely participated. I now feel very differently since I accepted this challenge to play a greater part in this organization. Because I felt the responsibility to give back to the printmaking community, I feel very fulfilled and have a sense of accomplishment. I have become better acquainted with many of the members who were just names on a mailing list. I know that I have established sincere professional and personal friendships. I have continued to build a strong board and engage new members who are actively working for the organization on a volunteer basis. I applaud all those who have given so much of their time and energy to help make my tenure so fulfilling. I look to the past and thank heartily Richard Hellman, who was by my side throughout. I look to the future to our new nominee for President, Calvin Custen, and promise to him the same support from me.

With much appreciation,

Susan J. Goldman
