An exhibit, display, and sales facility for regional fine arts, and
hand crafted products.
The Center is a not-for-profit volunteer organization which encourages creative
experience and appreciation of the visual arts. The gallery's changing
exhibits feature works produced by Highlands and other artists, and the shop
sells juried handmade items marketed by the craftsmen. Included are pottery,
wooden ware, jewelry, stained glass, as well as needlework, quilts,
and other fiber arts. Watercolor, oil, and graphic arts, framed and unframed,
are also available.
The Center is located in downtown Clifton Forge, a city which shares with
Covington and Alleghany County many outdoor recreational attractions in the
area's forested mountains. Withina 45 minute drive are two famed resorts,
The Homestead and The Greenbriar. Nearby are Lake Moomaw and Douthat State
Park. Restaurants and other shopping opportunities are available.
From the east, leave I-64 at exit 27 and follow West 60 Business to the midtown
municipal parking lot. From the west, take exit 24 from I-64 and follow East
60 Business and proceed to street or lot near the Center.

businesses, the governments of Alleghany County, Clifton Forge, and Covington,
and the Virginia Commission for the Arts
